ORDER DENYING PETITION

In this original petition for a writ of mandamus, Johnny Brock seeks an order directing the Nevada Department of Corrections to correctly calculate his mandatory parole release date.

Brock's argument is a challenge to the computation of time served, which must be raised in a postconviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus that is filed in the district court in the first instance. See NRS 34.724(2)(c); NRS 34.738(1). Because Brock has a plain, speedy, and adequate remedy at law, we conclude this court's intervention by way of an extraordinary writ is not warranted.
