Luis LEDESMA, Appellant, v. Brian WILLIAMS, Warden; Offender Management Division; and the State of Nevada, Respondents.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
Luis Ledesma appeals from a district court order denying a postconviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed on May 28, 2018. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Tierra Danielle Jones, Judge.
Ledesma claimed the Nevada Department of Corrections was not properly applying work and meritorious credits to his sentence. Because the record indicated that Ledesma had expired his sentence, we directed the Attorney General to provide documentation as to whether Ledesma was still serving the sentence at issue. The Attorney General subsequently demonstrated that Ledesma expired his sentence on January 16, 2020. The expiration of Ledesma’s sentence renders his challenge to the computation of time served moot. See Johnson v. Dir., Nev. Dep’t of Prisons, 105 Nev. 314, 316, 774 P.2d 1047, 1049 (1989). Therefore, we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
