Richard Alan NORMAN, Appellant, v. Frank Stephen LOCOCO; Northstar Lending Group; Ticor Title of Nevada, Inc.; Rishele Thompson; Jim Valentine; Gregory V. Holst; Jake Fair; RE/MAX Realty Affiliates; John Fisher; James McKinney; Ruthella McKinney; Allied Foreclosure Systems, d/b/a AFTS; and Eric Johnson, Respondents.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
Our review of the documents before this court reveals a jurisdictional defect. This court has jurisdiction to consider an appeal only when the appeal is authorized by statute or court rule. See Brown v. MHC Stagecoach, LLC, 129 Nev. 343, 345, 301 P.3d 850, 851 (2013). The challenged order is a post-judgment order denying a motion to dismiss, which does not qualify as a special order after final judgment because it does not alter the rights of any party incorporated in the final judgment. See Gumm v. Mainor, 118 Nev. 912, 920, 59 P.3d 1220, 1225 (2002) (defining an appealable special order after final judgment as a post-judgment order that affects the rights of a party to the action, growing out of the previously entered judgment).
Accordingly, this court lacks jurisdiction and we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
