REINA TEA WOOD-JIMENEZ, Petitioner, v. THE SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF WASHOE; AND THE HONORABLE LYNNE K. JONES, Respondents, THE STATE OF NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES, Real Party in Interest.
ORDER DENYING PETITION
This is an original pro se petition for a writ of habeas corpus that challenges multiple actions by the Department of Motor Vehicles. “An application for an original writ of habeas corpus should be made to the appropriate district court.” NRAP 22. If the district court declines to grant any relief, then “the proper remedy is by appeal from the district court's order denying the application.” Id. Even if we construed the petition as one for a writ of mandamus, see NRS 34.160; Int'l Game Tech., Inc. v. Second Jud. Dist. Ct., 124 Nev. 193, 197, 179 P.3d 556, 558 (2008), or prohibition, see NRS 34.320, petitioner has failed to carry her burden of demonstrating that writ relief is warranted, see Pan v. Eighth Jud. Dist. Ct., 120 Nev. 222, 228, 88 P.3d 840, 844 (2004). Accordingly, we
ORDER the petition DENIED.
