MANUEL BOJORQUEZ, Appellant, v. NDOC DIRECTOR, Respondent.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
Manuel Bojorquez appeals a district court order denying a postconviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus challenging the computation of time served filed on April 19, 2024. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Erika D. Ballou, Judge.
In his petition, Bojorquez alleged that the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) failed to appropriately award him credits against his sentence. Because it appeared from the record that Bojorquez had expired his sentence, this court directed the Attorney General to provide information as to whether Bojorquez was incarcerated pursuant to the sentence imposed in this matter. The Attorney General provided documentation demonstrating Bojorquez discharged his sentence and was released on January 16, 2025. The discharge of Bojorquez's sentence renders his challenge to the computation of time served moot. See Johnson v. Dir., Nev. Dep't of Prisons, 105 Nev. 314, 316, 774 P.2d 1047, 1049 (1989) (stating that expiration of a defendant's sentence rendered any question concerning computation of the sentence moot). Accordingly, we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
