IN RE: Winthrop ELLIOTT, Plaintiff, v. DOORDASH, INC. and Hayelom Reda, Defendants.
ORDER OF COURT
Upon consideration of Petitioner DoorDash, Inc.’s Petition for Order to Show Cause Pursuant to C.A.R. 21, the responses filed by Respondent Winthrop Elliott and the Arapahoe County District Court, and Petitioner's reply, and being sufficiently advised in the premises,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows:
1. The Rule to Show Cause issued by this Court on March 14, 2023 is hereby DISCHARGED, and this case is remanded to the District Court for further proceedings.
2. The District Court did not order Petitioner to produce documents beyond what Respondent had requested, nor did the District Court require Petitioner to create new documents in response to discovery requests. Moreover, the District Court properly exercised its discretion, and made the requisite findings, in determining the appropriate scope of discovery in light of the reasonable needs of this case and in tailoring the requested discovery to those needs.
