Asetek Danmark A/S v. CMI USA Inc., 2016-1026

In an infringement action involving patents that describe and claim systems and methods for cooling the central processing unit (CPU) or other processing unit of a computer system using cooling liquid, the district court's judgment finding infringement, no invalidity awarding damages, and entering an injunction is: 1) affirmed as to the rulings on infringement, invalidity and damages; but 2) remanded as to part of the injunction, i.e. , insofar as the injunction reaches conduct by original defendant (regarding the covered products) that goes beyond abetting a new violation by the new corporate entity of defendant.
