In Re Google Referrer Header Privacy Litigation, 15-15858

Affirming the district court's order of an $8.5 million cy pres-only settlement in a case arising from class action claims against Google for its violation of user privacy when it shared users internet search terms with third party websites because the settlement fund was non-distribute-able where each class member's portion was de minimis, a nexus between the recipients and the issue were adequately established, they had no prior established relationship with Google, and attorney fees awarded were not an abuse of discretion.
