United States First Circuit

In a suit for political discrimination and violations of the First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments, judgment on the pleadings for defendants is affirmed where: 1) one plaintiff's claim was barred by the one year statute of limitations; 2) there were no procedural deficiencies in the court's decision to grant the motion for judgment on the pleadings; 3) the process provided to plaintiff in a pre-termination hearing comported with due process guarantees by providing her notice and an opportunity to be heard; 4) plaintiff failed to make any allegation that persons similarly situated were treated more favorably; and 5) plaintiff failed to set forth a causal connection between her demotion and any political animus.
