  S 911. Purpose. This article is designed to implement section
thirteen-c, subdivision six, of article six of the constitution by
making available an informal conciliation procedure to those whose
marriage is in trouble.

  S 912. Jurisdiction. The family court has original jurisdiction over
conciliation proceedings under this article.

  S 913. Support and family offense proceedings. On its own motion and
at any time in a proceeding under this article, the court may direct the
filing of a support petition under article four or a family offense
petition under article eight of this act.

  S 914. No effect on marital status. The family court in a proceeding
under this article may not issue any order affecting the marital status
of the petitioner or of the petitioner`s spouse or relieving either of
any marital obligation.

  S 915. Confidentiality of statements. All statements made in
proceedings under this article are confidential and shall not be
admissible in evidence in any subsequent proceeding or action.
