Section 69. Anthropological researches; cooperation of Institution with States, educational institutions, or scientific organizations
The Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution is hereby authorized
to cooperate with any State, educational institution, or scientific
organization in the United States to continue independently or in
cooperation anthropological researches among the American Indians
and the natives of lands under the jurisdiction or protection of
the United States and the excavation and preservation of
archaeological remains.
